Joseph Calzada
General Director
American-Greek Bass-Baritone Joseph Calzada has an exciting 2025–2026 season which includes performances with the San Diego Opera, Opera San José, Festival Opera and Diablo Symphony Orchestra, Gulfshore Opera, Mission Dolores Basilica, the San Francisco Symphony. Mr. Calzada has performed with the Wolf Trap Opera, Opera San José, Gulfshore Opera, Livermore Valley Opera, the San Francisco Symphony, the National Symphony Orchestra, Naples Philharmonic, and more. Mr. Calzada was a 2024 Studio Artist at Wolf Trap Opera. He holds a Master of Music and Professional Studies Certificate from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor of Music from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. In addition to his artistic career, Mr. Calzada is a business strategist and venture investor, holding an MBA from Southern Utah University. He leads a private venture capital firm with holdings in biotech and food & beverage brands, focusing on early-stage growth, operational strategy, and long-term valuation. His work in the private equity space complements his artistic endeavors, bringing a results-driven, entrepreneurial perspective to both his performance career and his contributions to arts organizations.
Brendan Boyle
Artistic Director
Hailing from Kansas, Brendan Boyle has been deeply involved in classical performing arts from a young age. He received a Bachelors of Music from Washburn University and went on to complete a Masters of Music at Baylor University and a Performer's Diploma at Indiana University. After his schooling Mr. Boyle spent an extensive period in Austin, TX working regularly with Austin Opera and maintaining a sizable private voice studio.Mr. Boyle now enjoys performing regularly with opera companies around the country; most recently as Mario Cavaradossi in Tosca with Toledo Opera, and Don Jose in Carmen with both Toledo Opera and Gulfshore Opera. Upcoming performances include Niklaus Sprink in Silent Night with Opera Orlando, and Sir Alexander Simpson in Kamalehau: The Sheltering Tree with Hawaii Opera Theatre. Mr. Boyle resides with his family in Kansas, spending significant portions of the year with friends and family in the Hill Country of Central Texas.
Kelly Guerra

Peruvian-American mezzo-soprano Kelly Guerra made her Metropolitan Opera debut as one of the Niñas in Golijov's flamenco opera Ainadamar in 2024. She has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, at Carnegie hall, with the Fort Worth Opera, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, Opera Las Vegas, Anchorage Opera, Opera in the Heights, Madison Opera, Chautauqua Opera, Opera Omaha, the Lucerne festival, Tanglewood, and many more.Dr. Guerra holds degrees from the San Francisco Conservatory of music, Bard College, and the University of California Santa Barbara and worked in tech while growing her artistic career. As a first-generation American and native of Southern California, she is committed to making the concert hall welcoming for everyone. She is excited to spend more time with her family in Texas!
